Annual Report Card
Each year, we issue our Annual Report Card, measurable data points showing our success in a variety of areas and made possible only with the generous support of our benefactors.
Following are some recent highlights from the 2009-2010 academic year.
- 100% of our second class of graduates, the Class of 2006, enrolled in post-secondary education programs, including St. Mary’s College of California, San Diego State University, and Yale University.
- Provided more than $60,000 in direct high school financial assistance for our graduates.
- Nearly perfect 98.5% annual student-attendance rate.
- Better than 80% of students remained academically eligible and participated in one or more seasons of interscholastic sports.
- Our graduating eighth grade class (2010) achieved three years (2.9) of growth in science last year, with a class average nearly three years (2.8) ahead of the national average.
- Our rising eighth-grade class (2011) achieved two (2.0) years of growth in language and writing, finishing the academic year a year and a half ahead of the national average.
- Our rising seventh-grade class (2012) achieved better than one year (1.5) of growth in mathematics, finishing the academic year ahead of grade level by a year and a half.
- For the ninth straight year, 100% parent attendance for quarterly parent-teacher conferences.
- 6:1 student/teacher ratio - five times higher than area schools.
- With an extended year and extended-school day, 35% additional school hours compared to area schools.
- All 40 rising seventh and eighth graders attended the YMCA summer resident camp at Camp Marston (Julian, CA).
